All regional languages kept in minor subjects category for Term 1 exam: CBSE

In a reply to Punjab Chief Minister, Charanjit Singh Channi,  Central Board of Secondary Examination(CBSE) has clarified that all the regional languages are kept in the category of minor subjects.

The Central Board of Secondary Examination(CBSE) in a reply to Punjab Chief Minister, Charanjit Singh Channi, has clarified that no changes have been made in the classification of subjects regarding the Punjabi language. Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi had earlier condemned CBSE in a tweet for keeping ‘Punjabi out of the main subjects’. He had also accused that this move violated the right of Punjabi youth to learn their native language.
