Alex Murdaugh appeared in a South Carolina courtroom Thursday for the first time since he was sentenced to two life terms behind bars for the double murder of his wife and son.
He's accused of stealing a total of $8.8 million including more than $4 million in insurance payments intended for the family of his late housekeeper Gloria Satterfield.
