Doha, Qatar: Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz extended his lead at the top of the ATP Tour rankings following his title triumph at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha, stretching his unbeaten start to the season to 12 matches.
According to the latest rankings, officially released yesterday, the 22-year-old superstar widened the gap at the helm to more than 3,000 points over his closest challenger Jannik Sinner of Italy.
The seven-time Grand Slam champion delivered a clinical performance throughout the week at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, capping it with a straight-sets win over Frenchman Arthur Fils.
Alcaraz began the year by winning the Australian Open crown, which also made him enter the record books by becoming the youngest man to complete the Career Grand Slam in the Open Era.
Following his win in Doha, which also extended his 2026 winning streak to 12 matches, Alcaraz started his 16th consecutive week at World No.1, taking his total number of weeks at the top of the rankings to 60 weeks.
