Doha, Qatar: Newly-elected Al Shamal President Ibrahim Al Sada on Saturday announced the signing of Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah, who is set to stay in Qatar for the 10th consecutive season.
The Qatar Stars League (QSL) side has roped in the former Al Sadd player for two seasons, Al Sada said on the sidelines of the club’s General Assembly.
“We are happy to have Baghdad Bounedjah in our team as we build up for the new season. We wish him the best and hope for an improved performance from the team in the forthcoming season,” said the president.
The announcement brought an end to speculations over Bounedjah’s future, who was earlier linked to a move to Saudi Arabia.
