Akshay Kumar is seen crying in the new promo of Superstar Singer 2. The actor will be seen in the upcoming episode of the show to promote his film, Raksha Bandhan.

Akshay Kumar will be seen on Superstar Singer 2 this weekend. He will be seen promoting his upcoming release, Raksha Bandhan. The film is slated to release in theatres on August 11. In the recent promo from the singing reality show, Akshay can be seen in tears listening to Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka Sabka Kehna Hai from the film Hare Ram Hare Krishna.

Superstar Singer 2 will celebrate Raksha Bandhan special this weekend. The official Instagram handle of Sony shared the new promo from the show featuring Akshay Kumar. "Ek atoot dor mein bandhenge humaare #Supersingers aur hongi kuch zabardast performances! Dekhiye #RakshaBandhanSpecial #SuperstarSinger2 par, Sat-Sun raat 8 baje, sirf Sony par (sic)," read the caption.

In the video, a contestant dedicates the song Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka Sabka Kehna Hai to Akshay Kumar. As the little kid sang the song, pictures and videos of Akshay celebrating Rakhi with his sister played on the screen. The Samrat Prithviraj actor got emotional seeing the visuals. He can be seen wiping his tears in the video.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Raksha Bandhan stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead. The film also stars Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth who play Akshay Kumar's sisters. The story, written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon, revolves around the love, bonding and attachment between brother-sister. The film is jointly produced by Rai, Hiranandani and Zee Studios. The songs of Raksha Bandhan have been composed by Himesh Reshammiya while the lyrics have been written by Irshad Kamil. Ishaan Chhabra has composed the original background score. The film releases on August 11.
