Akshay Kumar gets sweet surprise from his sister Alka on Superstar Singer 2

Akshay Kumar's sister Alka gave a surprise to the actor on Superstar Singer 2. The actor will be seen in the upcoming episode of the show to promote his film, Raksha Bandhan.

Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, Raksha Bandhan, will release on August 11. The actor will be seen promoting the film on Superstar Singer 2 this weekend. The singing reality show will be celebrating Raksha Bandhan special episode and contestants will be seen singing songs that highlight love between brothers and sisters.

In the new promo of Superstar Singer 2, Akshay Kumar is seen in tears listening to Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka Sabka Kehna Hai from the film Hare Ram Hare Krishna. Akshay graced the sets of the singing reality show alongside director Anand L Rai, and his co-stars and on-screen sisters, Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna and Smrithi Srikanth.

On the show, director Anand L Rai will give a special surprise on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan to Akshay Kumar. Talking about his experience working with the Sooryavanshi actor, Aanand L Rai said, "When we work together, we never make each other feel that he is my actor and I am his director. We both laugh and enjoy being with each other while shooting. One thing that I have noticed about him is that Akshay is a very sensitive person and he will never show it to anyone. If you have an emotional conversation with him, he will immediately change the topic. So, it is difficult for his close ones to speak with him, his way of expressing love is different. And, this is always the case with him, but I somewhat figure my way out with him. So, today, I am going to give it a try for him, where someone close to him would express their emotions to Akshay. And, this person is truly close to him and both of them were never able to express their true feelings to each other. This is a Raksha Bandhan gift to him from his beloved sister."Akshay's sister Alka's special video message was played for the actor, which left him emotional. Deeply moved by the video message, Akshay Kumar was left teary eyed and truly grateful to both of them. Akshay also shared an interesting memory of his sister when she was born and how his parents told him that,"Ghar Mai Devi Aayi hai hamesha usska dhyaan rakhna."

Superstar Singer 2 will celebrate Raksha Bandhan special this weekend. The official Instagram handle of Sony shared the new promo from the show featuring Akshay Kumar. In the video, a contestant dedicates the song Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka Sabka Kehna Hai to Akshay Kumar. As the little kid sang the song, pictures and videos of Akshay celebrating Rakhi with his sister played on the screen. The Samrat Prithviraj actor got emotional seeing the visuals. He can be seen wiping his tears in the video.
