On February 23, 2020, 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery went for a run.
Jogging through a neighborhood outside Brunswick in southern Georgia, two White men saw Arbery, who was Black, and chased after him, telling authorities later they believed he was the same person suspected previously of trespassing at a nearby home under construction.
Within moments, Arbery was gunned down and killed.

A Border Patrol agent shot two people in Portland, Oregon, during a traffic stop after authorities said they were associated with a Venezuelan gang, another incident in a string of confrontations with federal authorities that have left Americans frustrated with immigration enforcement during the Trump administration.
