Nitish Kumar’s friend-turned-foe-turned-friend Upendra Kushwaha’s party is likely to be merged with the Bihar chief minister’s Janata Dal-United (JDU). Speculation about Nitish Kumar and Upendra Kushwaha coming together began after they met in December last year and early February this year. The development coincided with the bulging of the BJP’s political muscles in Bihar.
