Afghanistan evacuation: DHS to take lead on relocating Afghan citizens in US, Psaki says
Fox News
The Department of Homeland Security has taken lead on the process of relocating Afghan citizens entering the United States, putting them through a "thorough" vetting process.
"Already, DHS has been working closely with agencies across government – including our military, diplomats, intelligence community and law enforcement professionals, and many others – to ensure all Afghans are screened and vetted prior to being allowed into the United States," Psaki told reporters during a scheduled briefing. Relocated Afghans will receive extensive medical support as part of the relocation process, including COVID-19 screening and access to a COVID-19 vaccine.More Related News
