Adi Shankara, also known as Jagatguru Shankaracharya, was an iconic religious leader and philosopher. Adi Shankaracharya Jayanti is celebrated every year by his devotees during the Shukla Paksha Panchami Tithi of Vaishakha or the fifth day of the Full Moon lunar fortnight.
