Actor Sonu Sood To NDTV: "Tax Officials Acknowledged I've Done Good Work"

Sonu Sood, who recently faced income tax raids at his Mumbai home and offices, said he's a law abiding citizen and gave whatever documents and details the officials asked for.

Actor Sonu Sood today denied allegations of tax evasion and violations connected to his charity for Covid victims, days after Income Tax raids at his Mumbai home and offices.

“I am a law abiding citizen. Whatever documents, details they asked for, we gave. Whatever questions they asked, I answered. I did my part, they did theirs,” the actor told NDTV in his first interview since the raid.

On the Income Tax department's allegations, he said, “Of course not.”

Taxmen raided Sonu Sood's properties in Mumbai for four days in a row last week.
