Aaron Rodgers launches footballs at MSG during star-studded surprise ‘Kill Tony’ appearance
NY Post
It was a busy day of throwing for New York Jets quarterbacks.
Just hours after he stood on the sidelines watching the Jets defeat the Browns in their preseason opener, Aaron Rodgers made a surprise appearance at Madison Square Garden for a comedy event on Saturday night.
Rodgers, 40, hit the stage at the end of a live episode of the “Kill Tony” podcast at the World’s Most Famous Arena and was seen launching several footballs into the crowd.
In a video posted on X, Rodgers is seen chucking at least two footballs as some of the comedians on the dias looked on in bewilderment.
The four-time NFL Most Valuable Player was introduced by podcast host Tony Hinchcliffe as he appeared on stage with a bevy of comedians, including Joe Rogan, Shane Gillis, Joey Diaz, Jeff Ross, Andrew Dice Clay and others.
It’s been an eventful offseason and early preseason for Rodgers, who was fined $50,000 for missing the Jets mandatory minicamp in July for a pre-planned trip to Egypt.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
