A timely message from 'The Fly'
CNN
There's plenty to be uneasy about this Halloween. Commentators called out a number of reasons to be "be very afraid," the tagline for the 1986 movie 'The Fly.' Last week, a man stood up at a right-wing youth activist rally to ask, in effect, whether it's time to shoot the winners when Republicans lose elections. A US senator defended a man who gave a Nazi salute as a protest at a school board meeting. And one Republican member of the House tried to justify the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
"Be very afraid."

A little-known civil rights office in the Department of Education that helps resolve complaints from students across the country about discrimination and accommodating disabilities has been gutted by the Trump administration and is now facing a ballooning backlog, a workforce that’s in flux and an unclear mandate.
