A Christmas week meteor shower in the night sky
CNN
This minor meteor shower peaks the morning of December 22 but will be visible from December 17 to December 26. Bright moonlight will block most of the shooting stars from view, but stargazers can expect to see a couple grace the sky each hour.
Wallheiser spent last December 20 capturing long exposure shots of the Christmas Star, a bright light formed by the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, catching a shooting star from the Ursid meteor shower in one of his images.
