7,327 students apply for govt school admission

Doha: The Public Services Portal of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education received 3,213 applications for early registration of new students of all nationalities in government schools on the first day yesterday.

Head of Admissions and Registration Section at School Affairs Department of the Ministry Warda Mohamed Al Aqeel said that the early registration of new students for all nationalities in government schools for 2021-22 academic year began yesterday. Speaking in a Qatar TV programme, she said that this is a continuation of the early registration process which had opened in May and ended in mid of June 2021 for Qatari students, those from other GCC countries and children of Qatari women.
