6.2 Earthquake In Assam, Strong Tremors In Northeast, North Bengal

An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck Assam this morning, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said. "Just experienced a massive earthquake in Assam. Waiting for details," Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted. The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), EMSC said.
