Doha, Qatar: The 47th World Military Parachuting Championship (CISM Qatar 2025) will start Saturday and run through November 23 at Umm Al-Shokhot Airfield.
320 skydivers representing 30 countries; namely Algeria, Germany, Austria, Bahrain, the United States, Belgium, Brazil, Russia, China, South Korea, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, France, Egypt, Italy, Kuwait, Latvia, Morocco, Oman, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Tunisia, Turkey, and host country Qatar along with Slovakia, which will be present to receive the flag for the next edition.
They will compete in three events for both men and women: the four-way formation, the style, and the landing.
Vice Chairman of the Qatar Air Sports Committee, Lt. Colonel Abdullah Saeed Al Mansouri, welcomed the participants to the championship, which he described as a special challenge for Qatari air sports. He noted that all teams had arrived in Doha and had begun their training and preparations immediately following the official opening ceremony.
In a statement today, he commended the organizing committee and its subcommittees for their commendable efforts and harmonious coordination in preparing to receive all participating delegations.
