3 Jaish Terrorists Killed In Encounter In Jammu And Kashmir

As per police records, both the killed terrorists were categorized terrorists and were linked with the proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir killed three Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists, including a Pakistani one in twin operations in Kulgam in the last 24 hours.
J-K Police got intelligence input on the presence of terrorists in the Ahwatoo area of Kulgam. A joint cordon-and-search operation was launched by police, Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the area.
During the search operation, as the joint search party approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired indiscriminately upon the security forces which was retaliated effectively leading to an encounter.
According to the police, two local terrorists were killed in the encounter. They were identified as Mohammad Shafi Ganie of Batpora and Mohammad Asif Wani alias Yawar of Takia Gopalpora.
