The US presidential elections and K-pop group BTS dominated the list of most-liked tweets

The most “liked” tweet on the micro-blogging platform in 2021, as per the site's official blog, was by Joe Biden, after he was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States of America on January 20, 2021. The simple six-word tweet: “It's a new day in America” has gathered over 4 million “likes” to date.

The second-most liked tweet came from the official account of Twitter itself. Reinforcing the mantra that less is more, all the tweet says is: “hello literally everyone”. The post made on October 4, has 3.3 million "likes" so far.
