Two more Army personnel were killed during a counter-terrorist operation in Mendhar in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Their bodies were recovered on Saturday evening. The Army toll in the operation that began on Monday has now risen to 9.
Subedar Ajay Singh and Naik Harendra Singh were killed during a search operation being conducted by the Indian Army along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the densely forested area of Nar Khas forest in Mendhar. The objective of the operation was to flush out terrorists hiding in the forested area.
