2 civilians, 1 Army soldier injured as encounter breaks out in J&K’s Kulgam

Three people, including two civilians, were injured after an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Kulgam district of J&K.
Two civilians and one Army soldier were injured after an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists on Monday and Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Batapora village of Kulgam after they received inputs about militants in the area. Three terrorists were believed to be trapped in residential house of the village.
Officials said that the search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire at the security forces.
"An Army soldier and two civilians got injured in the ongoing encounter. All the three injured shifted to hospital for treatment. Operation going on. Further details shall follow," a police spokesman tweeted.
