Jasprit Bumrah rattled the England batting line-up by returning figures of 6 for 45 in 15.5 overs in the ongoing second Test.

Jasprit Bumrah on Saturday wreaked havoc with the ball in hand. The right-arm pace spearhead rattled the England batting line-up by returning figures of 6 for 45 in 15.5 overs in the ongoing second Test match in Visakhapatnam. Bumrah was at his absolute best as the England batters had a tough day against him. Be it his swinging deliveries or toe-crushing yorkers, Bumrah hardly put any foot wrong in the innings. His sensational spell also saw him achieving a historic first in Indian cricket.

Bumrah became the fastest Indian pacer to claim 150 Test wickets, in terms of balls bowled and games played. He registered the record in what was the 34th game of his decorated Test cricket career. Bumrah is the first pacer in Indian cricket history to take 150 Test wickets in less than 35 matches. By the end of play on Saturday, Bumrah had 152 Test wickets to his name.

Bumrah reached the remarkable feat after delivering 6781 balls in Test cricket. Meanwhile, Umesh Yadav stands in the second spot with 7661 balls. Mohammed Shami and Kapil Dev hold the second and fourth place with 7755 and 8378 balls respectively.

The 30-year-old made history after he dismissed the English skipper Ben Stokes on day two of the second Test match on Saturday. In the second ball of the 50th over, Bumrah delivered a yorker and bowled out Stokes for 47 runs.

In England's first inning, the vice-captain delivered a magical spell. He picked up six wickets and gifted only 45 runs.
