Fifteen people died on Friday and at least 16 others were taken ill after consuming spurious liquor, allegedly sold by a licensed vendor here, a senior official said. The authorities have ordered a magisterial probe into the incident and suspend five excise officials while four people, including the liquor vend owner, have been arrested. The inquiry will be conducted by an additional district magistrate-rank officer, District Magistrate Chandra Bhushan Singh told reporters.A first-generation entrepreneur, Ramoji Rao is credited with changing the Telugu media landscape launching the Eenadu newspaper with innovative news coverage and page design. Following multiple complaints regarding vehicle dealers not handing over registration certificates (RCs) to registered owners at the time of delivery, the Delhi Transport Department has directed all its district offices to seek reports on the issuance of RCs from vehicle dealers under their jurisdiction on a fortnightly basis. The order was issued on Thursday by Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot.
According to sources in the Southern Railway, Aishwarya Menon of Chennai Division was among the invitees. Other loco pilots and assistant loco pilots were nominated from West Central Railway, North Eastern Railway, South Eastern Railway, South Central Railway, South Western Railway, Northern Railway and North Frontier Railway.
