11.8 cr students to benefit from financial help by government under Mid-Day Meal scheme

Around 11.8 crore students are set to benefit from the government's plan to provide financial help through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under the Mid-Day Meal scheme.

To help safeguard the nutritional levels of children, the central government has decided to provide financial help to 11.8 crore students under the Mid-Day Meal scheme through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of the cooking cost for the meals. Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has approved the proposal for the same.
