9月18日，中国残疾人联合会第八次全国代表大会在北京人民大会堂开幕。来自全国各地的600多名代表，肩负着约8500万残疾人的重托出席大会。

China Disabled Persons' Federation opened its eighth national congress in Beijing on Monday. The event, held in the Great Hall of the People, was attended by more than 600 delegates who represent about 85 million people living with disabilities in China.

【知识点】

中国残疾人联合会（简称中国残联）成立于1988年3月，是国家法律确认、国务院批准的由残疾人及其亲友和残疾人工作者组成的人民团体，是全国各类残疾人的统一组织。中国残联的最高权力机构是全国代表大会，每五年举行一次。

截至2022年底，我国参加城乡居民基本养老保险的残疾人数达2761.7万，1209.3万残疾人领取了养老金；我国残疾人社区文体活动参与率达到26.3%；全国特殊教育在校生达到91.85万人，特殊教育学校2314所，特殊教育专任教师7.27万人；我国城乡持证残疾人就业已达905.5万人，其中按比例就业86.7万人，集中就业26万人，辅助性就业15.2万人；各级残联共为61万困难重度残疾人家庭实施无障碍改造，为26.3万残疾人发放残疾人机动轮椅车燃油补贴；全国已有残疾人康复机构11661个，康复机构在岗人员达32.8万人。
