Yamuna's water level rising again in Delhi, over 100 families evacuated

The water level of Yamuna has started rising again in the capital Delhi. The water level of Yamuna was recorded at 205.32 meters till 11 am on Sunday, which is just below the danger mark of 205.33 meters.
The main reason for this is said to be continuous rain in Delhi-NCR. According to officials, over 100 families living in low-lying areas of Yamuna have been shifted to safer places in the last few days. Earlier on Saturday, the water level of Yamuna had started decreasing in the capital. On Saturday evening, the water level reached near the warning level of 204.50 meters, while on Friday the water level reached 205.33 above the danger mark. The administration has evacuated the people living in the area of Khadar, put up tents for their stay. Teams of BSES, Police, Corporation, and Health Department have been asked to be on alert. From policemen to civil defense volunteers patrolled the banks of Yamuna. The people who were living in the slums even after the warning. They were shifted to a safe place.More Related News
