Will Covaxin get emergency use listing? WHO meeting to decide today

WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris said the technical advisory group is currently reviewing data on India's indigenously-made vaccine - Covaxin.
"WHO has a system in which there is a technical committee which has approved it (Covaxin) while the other committee is meeting today. The approval for Covaxin will be given on the basis of today's meeting," the Health Minister said.
Meanwhile, speaking to reports, WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris said the technical advisory group is currently reviewing data on India's indigenously-made vaccine (Covaxin). She added, "If all is in place and all goes well and if the committee is satisfied, we would expect a recommendation within the next 24 hours or so."
Bharat Biotech had submitted the Expression of Interest (EOI) for the emergency use approval back in April 19, but WHO had said it needs more data from the company before showing the green light.
