Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to attend World Economic Forum in Davos, pitching for investments in the state.
A busy schedule awaits Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in the new year including a few trips abroad.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu and official delegation led by Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari, would be in Davos, Switzerland from January 20 to 22, 2025. He will participate in the 55th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) to pitch for investments in Telangana explaining the liberal policies his Government has put in place for investors who are interested in investing here.
Arrangements are being made for setting up a separate pavilion for Telangana in the WEF meeting showcasing the investment opportunities in the State. This would be Mr. Revanth Reddy’s second visit to Davos. The State signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with different companies with investments to the tune of ₹40,000 crore during the WEF meeting last year and these MoUs are in different stages of implementation.
The WEF meeting, according to sources, will be preceded by the Chief Minister’ visit to Australia and Singapore. Mr. Revanth Reddy is likely to visit Australia tentatively from January 15 to study the functioning of the Queensland Sports University. He is expected to leave for Singapore on January 19 to know about tourism promotion programmes besides meeting industrialists there before leaving for Switzerland.
