Oscar Isaac shared his thoughts on ABC's suspension of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
Oscar Isaac said he’s not interested in any future “Star Wars” projects if Disney continues to cave to President Donald Trump’s threats.
Addressing a possible reprisal of his role as resistance hero Poe Dameron from the 2015 to 2019 sequel trilogy in a GQ interview published Monday, Isaac said, “Right now I’m not so open to working with Disney. But if they can kinda figure it out and, you know, not succumb to fascism, that would be great.”
“But if that happens, then yeah, I’d be open to having a conversation about a galaxy far away,” Isaac added. “Or any number of other things.”
According to an editor’s note, the interview “took place two days after ABC and Disney suspended production on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ in response to Kimmel’s comments about the death of Charlie Kirk.”
Disney and its broadcasting arm, ABC, faced widespread outrage and thousands of canceled streaming subscriptions for suspending Kimmel’s late night show in September, following his remark about the conservative reaction to the right-wing activist’s death.
