"India is supposed to go to Sri Lanka for three ODIs and five T20Is. There are lots of organizational hazards like 14-day quarantine. It [the IPL] can't happen in India [either]. This quarantine is tough to handle; too early to say how we can find a slot to complete the IPL", BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said.
In an interview with Sportstar, when Ganguly was asked if there was a possibility of the remainder of the postponed IPL season being completed in England on either side of India's Test series there, he said: "No". The Indian team's England tour will end on September 14 and the remaining matches of the IPL are yet to be planned. In such a situation, BCCI wants players like Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Yuzvendra Singh Chahal to be ready for the matches. There may be at least five T20 and three ODI series on the tour. Earlier on May 7, BCCI has announced a 20-member India squad for the tour of England and the World Test Championship final as well as five Test matches against England. There are four standby players in the 20 players name list. The Test Championship final is scheduled to be played in England next month between India and New Zealand. The ICC is scheduled to play the first-ever Test Championship final between the two countries in Southampton, England from 18 to 22 June.More Related News
