A lawmaker from Texas is reintroducing a bill to ensure that Border Patrol agents are paid in the event of a government shutdown, as numbers drop at the border.
Specifically, it would cover the salaries and expenses of any Border Patrol agents and the Office of Field Operations, which staffs ports of entry. Adam Shaw is a politics reporter for Fox News Digital, primarily covering immigration and border security.
