The havoc caused by the deadly coronavirus has frightened many as people are losing their loved ones and are feeling helpless. In this situation, the covid vaccine is a ray of hope that is making people strong enough to avoid or fight the virus.
India Test batsman Ajinkya Rahane and his wife Radhika on Saturday received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The Test vice-captain also highlighted the importance of getting vaccinated amid the coronavirus crisis. Also, cricketers Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma joined the list of players to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Pujara and Ishant, who are part of the India squad for the tour of England starting next month, got vaccinated on Monday. Earlier, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan too had posted that he had got vaccinated. Rahane's IPL franchise was on top of the points table before the 14th edition of the IPL was postponed indefinitely by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the IPL Governing Council after multiple Covid cases were reported within the bio-bubble. Kolkata Knight Riders, SunRisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Delhi Capitals all reported positive Covid cases within their camps. The cricket fraternity has joined hands to help the country in tough times. Virat Kohli and his actor wife Anushka Sharma have donated Rs 2 crore to a fund-raising project, which will raise a total of Rs 7 crore to support the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Rishabh Pant has said he will donate to Hemkunt Foundation to procure beds and Oxygen cylinders for Covid-19 patients.More Related News
