The coronavirus has been creating havoc all over the country for more than a year now. Half the country is suffering from the virus and many people are suffering from economic issues. Its impact on the film and television industry can also be seen.
Actress Himani Shivpuri is a popular name in the movies and television world but the corona era has proved to be a difficult time for her as well. Recently, Himani has revealed this in an interview. She has told that in this difficult time, the actors have also gone through a very difficult period because they do not even have any provident fund facility. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Himani Shivpuri said, "It’s very tough. We actors, especially the older ones, earn only when we work. But now, with work happening, it’s a struggle. We have nothing to fall back on. They call this an industry but it hasn’t given the status of the film industry nor does it function like one. Our income now is zero as there’s no work, but it is tour fault?" Further, she added, "Income has been very sporadic for people in our industry for the past one year now. It’s really a bad scenario. Yes, we actors are probably not in a situation as bad as many others but the struggle is struggle."More Related News
