Philipp Plein brings a show of excess to Milan Fashion Week 2020

The recent outbreak of the coronavirus near Milan compelled Giorgio Armani to cancel his Sunday presentation — but there was no stopping Philipp Plein, whose Saturday evening show pulled out all the stops. A gilded fighter jet, boat, cars and even helicopters emblazoned with the Philipp Plein logo were stationed around the runway, lending the affair a military-meets-decadence air. Following a performance by Tyga, actress Jada Pinkett Smith opened the collection. With that, the stage was set for a production featuring stars from varying platforms.
