Visual Effects Society livid over James Corden and Rebel Wilson’s Oscars ‘Cats’ diss

The Visual Effects Society is hissing back at the Academy Awards, a day after Cats-costumed presenters James Corden and Rebel Wilson made an im-purr-tinent remark about the film’s widely panned VFX. Before reading the nominees for Best Visual Effects, the duo said (trading lines), “As castmembers of the motion picture Cats, nobody more than us understands the importance …” then they added in unison, “of good visual effects!” The line drew laughs and applause.
