Surf ‘n’ turf rides a new wave in Chelsea

Traditional surf ’n’ turf is getting an Asian twist. A new concept eatery, Steak ‘N Lobster, opens this month from restaurateur Don Fellner and sushi chef Masato Okamoto, at 129 W. 29th St. The 170-seat eatery also features a 30-seat bar and a large lobster tank. The restaurant features hormone-free, grass-fed Black Angus steak and Maine lobsters. Signature dishes include Koji steak marinated with miso; Cajun steak with a bourbon BBQ sauce; and lobster served with a house-made plum sauce. Healthy fare includes steamed or grilled lobster; and a pirikara (spicy) lobster. Attention thrill-seekers: The new lunch menu at Fine & Rare might be for you.
