Astros outgun Nationals to get back into World Series

WASHINGTON — At least for one night, Derek Jeter’s favorite October saying wasn’t correct. “It’s not always the best team that wins, it’s the team that is playing the best,’’ was Jeter’s view of the postseason throughout his career. Using that as a guide for Game 3 of the World Series on Friday night at Nationals Park would have been a mistake.
