Jets’ C.J. Mosley mystery takes another ominous turn

C.J. Mosley is back on the shelf, and now the question is whether he will be back this season — and even Jets head coach Adam Gase doesn’t know the answer. The high-priced inside linebacker, who returned Monday night against the Patriots after missing four games due to a groin injury, will be inactive Sunday against the Jaguars, Gase said. Mosley is still undergoing tests to determine whether there is a more involved explanation for his pain and discomfort. On Wednesday, Gase said the team’s doctors were doing a “deep dive” on the problem.
