Tech execs sending deputies to testify at House antitrust hearing

Big Tech is being hauled back onto the carpet in Washington. Reps from Apple, Amazon, Google and Facebook will testify at a hearing next week before the House Judiciary Committee’s top antitrust panel, according to reports. The tech titans will make the appearance as they are facing unprecedented scrutiny of their business practices by government regulators perusing anticompetitive practices. None of the companies will be sending their top executives to Washington, however — Apple will send its VP for corporate law and chief compliance officer Kyle Andeer.
