Brodie Van Wagenen — not a chair — is to blame for Mets’ mess

Someone at Citi Field needs to order a few more chairs if general manager Brodie Van Wagenen is going to go full Bobby Knight every time the Mets lose a game. According to a report by The Post’s Mike Puma, Van Wagenen got so heated at the Mets coaching staff following Friday’s 7-2 loss to the Phillies at Citi Field that he punctuated his displeasure with the team’s performance by throwing a chair, according to club sources.
